The fascinating history of the eighteenth century, for me, is of the scandals, riots, feuds, filth and corruption that was so evident in the daily life of the rich and the poor. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the prints of James Gillray, William Hogarth, Thomas Rowlandson, the Cruikshanks and other Georgian print artists.
